Badge Requests

What does it take? It changes for each gym! Normally, the games increase in difficulty as you progress, but that wouldn't be any fun if characters could just as easily take on the Gyms that are supposed to be for top trainers only. THEREFORE, the gym leaders aren't going to be pushovers like in the games! In order to win a badge, the mods will take into account your current roster and the attacks and advantages to see whether your pokémon is strong enough to win a badge or not.
Each gym leader has a Regular Team of pokemon and an Elite Team of pokemon you can challenge. It's up to a trainer to decide which team to challenge, but if you take on the Elite Team of six level 100 Pokemon, you'll receive double the prize money. The items, however, are not doubled. Excellent for trainers looking for the extra challenge or those looking to make money fast.
!!! Badges must be mod approved. To earn a badge, please comment on this post. Please don't ask for more than two badges to be approved at once!

They will be compensated for their work as Gym Leaders with a stipend that will cover building costs, labor (the Leader's and any Trainers they may employ), and rewards for victorious challengers. We ask that Aurora Gym Leaders think carefully about the location of their Gym and the difficulty level they wish to present challengers. We also ask that they create their own Badge Request page like this one so that others can request battles with them. To officially request an Aurora League Gym, fill out the provided template and comment here. |
Please use this form to request a badge or a showdown with the Elite Four! Post your request as a comment to this post. Badges will generally be processed once per week, on either Wednesday or during the weekend. Please try not to PM or IM mods about badges (including elite challenges) unless your request has gone unanswered for more than a week.
!!! Please request badges as your character is actually in the general area of the gym!
!!! To preserve the spirit of the game, obtaining badges using recently-inherited Pokémon (ie, Pokemon received from dropped characters) that massively outlevel your own is discouraged. If this happens, you may be asked by the badge mod to revise your team. Inherited Pokemon that your character has had for a while and are the same level as the rest of your character's team are fine to use!
!!! Remember that you must fight all four members of the Elite Four and Champion Lance in a row. You may heal your Pokémon between battles and take a short break, but you cannot leave without ending your challenge.

Badge/Gym Leader: Soul/Janine
Elite/Regular: Elite
Team: Hicks | Midday Form Lycanroc (Lv.100), Bishop | Beheeyem (Lv.100), Sleepy (Lv.100), Hudson | Marowak (Lv.100), Vasquez | Absol (Lv.100), Flame | Charizard (Lv.100)
Battle Details:
Okay continuing with the elite battles. Newt has made sure to stock up on potions and revives to bring with her to this battle. She's a bit nervous and will be making sure to keep all of her pokemon healed throughout the battle. She wants to win this one.
For the Crobat, Newt will send out Hicks as he's got an advantage as a Rock type and also is resistant to poison and flying attacks. They will be focusing on Rock type attacks starting with Accelerock as that goes first. Rock Tomb will be used also to lower the Crobat's speed and Stone Edge will be used to land more critical hits. They will also use Stealth Rock to lay a trap for a pokemon being swapped in. But sticking with Rock attacks against this pokemon.
Next is the Weezing and Newt will bring out Bishop the Beheeyem for this fight. Bishop is a Psychic type. The first thing they will do is use Psychic Terrain to power up Psychic moves for five turns. Then of course they will be using Psychic attacks to try and get the fight over quickly such as Psychic, Psybeam and Zen Headbutt. She will be keeping a close eye on HP when Bishop is out because she might need to use them later. They are going for a quick fight and will keep using Psychic Terrain to keep those Psychic attacks at a high advantage.
So the Toxicroak is the reason she's hoping that Bishop is still able to fight. If she's able to, she'll leave him there for a single round to use Psychic Terrain to cause Psychic moves to have even more power and then swap him out with Sleepy the Munna, another Psychic type. Either way there is a 4x type advantage for Psychic types and hopefully a bit more with that boost. So Psychic, Psybeam, Stored Power and Zen Headbutt will be used. For HP they will use Moonlight to restore HP if needed. But mostly they will be focusing on hitting hard with Psychic attacks. As long as she is able to she will swap Bishop out to keep putting up Psychic Terrain and then swap Sleepy back in.
Okay now the Drapion, Newt will be bringing out Hudson for the Ground type advantage. He is also resistant to Poison attacks and immune to Electric if the Drapion tries that one electric move it has. They will be trying to end this fight quickly. Not for the usual reasons, it's just that the Drapion kind of scares Newt so time to kill/knock it out as quickly as possible. Bonemerang will be used as it hits the opponent twice, always good. They are mostly going for Ground attacks so Bone Rush, Bone Club and Stomping Tantrum. If they go lower in HP then the Drapion, they will use Endeavor to cut down the Drapion's HP to match their own, but hopefully it won't come to that.
Against the Arbok, Newt will bring out Vasquez the Absol. They have two Psychic attacks that are at an advantage but for the majority of this fight, they'll have to go for non type advantage but don't worry there is a plan. So first of all, Quick Attack. Then Psycho Cut and Future Sight for those Psychic Attacks and they will be used a lot. They will also be using a mix of Normal and Dark attacks such as Scratch and Night Slash if the Psychic attacks run low. However if things start to get bad then Newt will use her Mega Stone to evolve Vasquez into a Mega Absol for that extra power boost. Hopefully bringing the fight to a fast end.
Lastly against the Venomoth, Newt will put out Flame the Charizard for the Fire/Flying advantage. Also because fire. Oh and it's also resistant to Bug attacks. So first Fire Spin to trap the Venomoth unable to move. Then a mix of Flying and let's be honest, mostly Fire attacks. Air Slash, Fly, Heat Wave, Flamethrower...Flamethrower again. Newt might really like this move. However showing that she will think about more then
nuking from orbitfire, Newt will also be throwing in a few Dragon Breath to try and paralyze the Venomoth as well as using Fire Spin to trap it. But we will be ending this match with as much fire as possible really.no subject
